Tajik Agricultural Fair & Handicraft Expo Comes to Astana Aug 16-17
A grand agricultural fair and handicraft exhibition from Tajikistan's Sugd region is set to take place in Astana on August 16-17, 2025. Over 1,000 tons of fresh produce, including fruits, dried fruits, nuts, vegetables, melons, and other crops, will be on sale. Residents and visitors can enjoy an Eastern bazaar experience, sample national dishes, and shop for quality products and handicrafts.
The fair, open from 11:00 to 19:00 on August 16 and from 10:00 to 19:00 on August 17, will be held at the territory near 'Barys Arena'. Tajik farmers will showcase their produce, although the exact names of the participants remain unknown. Food lovers can indulge in national cuisine, with 10 cauldrons of plov and 6 tandoors producing at least 5,000 units of baked goods daily.
The event aims to foster entrepreneurship and strengthen international relations between Tajikistan and Kazakhstan. It offers a unique opportunity for cultural exchange and economic growth.
