Transformation Journey: Revitalization Process

Introducing the Roots to Regeneration Transition Accelerator Program

The Roots to Regeneration Transition Accelerator (R2R) program is a unique initiative designed to support farmers and advisors in transitioning to regenerative farming practices. Launched on January 4, 2024, the program aims to provide a fast-track option for those seeking immediate results while fitting within the unique context of each farmer.

The R2R program is co-designed and led by Clare Hill of Planton Farm, a model regenerative farm in Shropshire, and Caroline Grindrod of Roots of Nature. It offers a comprehensive training experience, including workshops, farm visits, specialist sessions, and study tours.

Participants join small, diverse groups for regular farm tours, workshops, and events, fostering peer-to-peer learning and mutual support through shared experiences across different farming systems and stages of transition. The program includes farm-based training days, live discussions, expert sessions, self-led online learning, fortnightly coaching, and peer-to-peer mentorship.

The R2R program reconnects farmers to their natural capacity to work with complex whole systems, focusing on sustainable, optimal productivity, resilience, healthy soil, plants, and livestock, nutrient-dense harvests, economic rewards, social harmony, and community value. It does not encourage farmers to waste time, money, and effort on unproductive approaches.

The program offers a course prospectus that can be accessed online, and it launches its first intake in February 2024. For more information, interested individuals can contact Clare Hill at [email protected] or Caroline Grindrod at [email protected].

By joining the R2R program, farmers and advisors will build a confident, knowledgeable, and connected network that supports each other and accelerates the scale and profitability of regenerative farming practices in the Cotswolds region. The program runs annually, continuously evolves, and aims to sustain beyond March 2026, subject to funding availability.
