Various multi-hued avian species accompany pedestrians on their urban stroll towards the city park.
In the quaint town of Malchin, a drab and gray garage wall has been transformed into a colorful attraction, thanks to the artistic skills of local graffiti artist Christian Beitz, also known as "Ysek 82."
The route from the Stone Gate to the City Park, while picturesque in parts, has been less than appealing due to the unsightly feature on one side. However, that has now changed, as Beitz's work has breathed new life into the area.
In just one and a half days, Beitz completed the transformation of Michael Großmann's garage wall, adorning it with two large, whimsical birds. These fantasy birds, as Beitz described them, can be interpreted as doves of peace or sparrows, depending on the viewer's perspective.
Michael Großmann, a city representative and resident, has been dissatisfied with the garage wall's drab appearance for some time. He approached Beitz with the hope of beautifying the wall, and the result has exceeded his expectations.
Großmann anticipates positive reactions from people passing by the newly decorated garage wall, and he may be right. The passersby have praised Beitz's work, expressing sentiments such as "colorful," "beautiful," and "fantastic."
Moreover, the motif of the birds is child-friendly, as it is located opposite the Johannes Kindergarten. Beitz, the artist, created the birds motif with the intention of making it appealing to the young minds.
The tennis court and kindergarten playground are already bright spots along the route, and with the newly beautified garage wall, the area is becoming more attractive. Großmann hopes that this change will inspire others to design their walls, potentially making the route to the City Park even more appealing.
However, the route still faces challenges, such as the muddy ground, which can pose a challenge for pedestrians, especially in the rain. Despite this, the vibrant transformation by Christian Beitz's work is undoubtedly a step in the right direction for the town of Malchin.
