Yakutsk to receive tall tree-planting apparatus for afforestation reaching up to five meters in growth.

Yakutsk, the coldest city in the world, is set to undergo a green transformation as it receives special equipment for planting large trees. The announcement was made by Il Darhan during a live broadcast on the "Russia 24" channel.

According to Il Darhan, tree felling may be necessary to comply with modern construction standards, but the focus is now on replanting and greening the city. The equipment, a special machine for planting large trees, will be provided by Sber, with the balance of "Yakutlesresource" handling its placement.

Mr. German Greff, a benefactor involved in city development in the country, has decided to provide this equipment. The trees to be planted have a ready root system and can reach up to five meters in height.

Aisen Nikolaev, a city official, noted the reduction in the practice of mass flower planting in Yakutsk and expressed hope that the mayor will return to the experience of more flower planting. He also suggested that public organizations, businesses, and others should be involved in this initiative.

Currently, Yakutsk is implementing a concept that provides for the planting of shrubs and trees. However, there are very few flowers left in the city now. Aisen Nikolaev mentioned that many big cities around the world encourage flower planting to transform the city, and he believes Yakutsk can follow suit.

Large trees may appear in locations such as Victory Park and the territory adjacent to the Arctic Center. Many were happy to plant flowers when asked by the mayor's office in certain areas. The pace of greening in Yakutsk remains insufficient, according to Aisen Nikolaev, but with the arrival of the special equipment, the city is one step closer to its green vision.

It will take at least ten years for the planted trees and shrubs to grow, but the long-term benefits are worth the wait. The republic's capital will not only become more beautiful but also healthier and more sustainable. The greening of Yakutsk is a promising step towards a greener future.
