Caretaker Daniel Volkmann shared some bad news during a recent episode of the MDR Sachsen podcast "Elephant, Tiger & Co. - The Podcast," which focused on the zebras in Leipzig Zoo. To maintain the balance in terms of reproduction in the Grevy zebra group, Leipzig Zoo will have to remove Heidi's father from the enclosure when Heidi reaches sexual maturity. This decision is necessary "otherwise, we can't keep them," according to Volkmann.
